Bent Creek Still rocks

Did a few rides this past week up at the Creek. Went with Old Faithful Tommy boy and Josh the Hammer. Josh reminded me that if I keep riding, frequently, I may be fast once again. Good to get your ass kicked every now and then to let you know where you stand.

Rode with Tommy boy and a hammer head (as in fast) Lair, up in Bent Crizzle today. 75, sunny and mtn biking. Remind me again about what's wrong in the world?

Asheville uncovered

Well, the snow has melted and the trails were pristine. Tommy boy conquered the log ride without bloodshed. Great day.

Georgia Peach

My buddy Matty H from Greenwood took me on a tour of some sweet Georgia singletrack. Who knew those southern folk had such a cool place to ride? Just watch out. The trees sometimes jump out and bite ya.

Rossi and the rock garden

My buddy Matt's little guy turned 1 today. Also got to test some of his homegrown trails. Very nice. The One performed well. I on the other hand, what you can't see in the picture is me eating it face first on the landing. Good times though. I am in red by the way. tbone

Well, it was a nice taste. Back to a bit of rain for a few days. At least the temp isn't -18. Hit the gym today for the first time in like 6 months. New guy and tubeless rules!

Went out today for a good loop over at Paris today with my man Tommy and a new guy, Ryan. Don't let the pictures fool you and despite what Raffy Rafalski says, he's got heart and lungs. Skill ain't half bad for an old guy either. He hasn't ridden a bike since college and he graduated in 1984 so it's been a while. Anyway, great day out on the trails. Oh yeah, the tubeless ghetto style rules by the way. tbone

Tubeless and an Html change

Well, I switched the Html for the site and that cleared up the adware thing. Also, I went tubeless today on my front tire. Yes, mark it on your calender. It's been a long time coming. I went the ghetto rout cause the kit for Stan's is a bit pricier. 4 bucks for a 20 inch tube and 4 bucks for 2 oz of Stan's, a couple of Youtube vids and Bam, tubeless. We shall see how it goes. Ride Sunday for all interested. My pal Ryan is going. He is a beginner but in pretty good shape for an old guy. Paris mtn will be the place. Not sure the time though.

Weird adware deal

Every time I try to get on my site here, it goes to an adware site. Not sure what the deal is. I will look into it. t

Well, jury duty is done. One word of advice "Just say no!" Anyway, unfortunately, the snow isn't done. About a half inch fell last night and although it's gone, the trails are assumed muddy. You yankees think you have it bad! Anyway, plans for rides shall resume shortly I presume. Anybody have rides going, let me know, comment back or email and I will pass them along. Don't be shy. As big as this blog is getting, I am sure only a few million people will be watching. Peace tbone
